Removing the Rust

I can't believe I haven't updated this in about a month. Although, leading up to my vacation I was thoroughly distracted, and then we were pretty busy for the majority of April. I'm not quite sure why I thought I'd be able to make a lot of progress. I find it surprisingly difficult to jump right back into Unity. I suppose that comes with a lack of practice. Throughout all of my time learning Unity, it is easier to return each time, but at the moment, my confidence is a little shaken

This week I tried to get a little more specific about what it is I want to work on with my Trello list. I need small pieces to pick apart. I compare my current state as what it's like to work on a research paper for school. I might have a pretty good idea of what you want to write about, but it's much different if you put it off until the last minute and sit down to type the whole thing.

My plan at the moment is to take one of the Corgi Controller 2D scenes and break it down into it's simplest form and the begin adding my own assets. If I'm done making excuses how I haven't progressed, I should at least work on getting some character assets polished up a little bit. Maybe I'll pick one silhouette and run with it.

To get myself back in the routine, I revisited some of Unity learning courses this week. It's nice to get exposed to variety of concepts, but one challenge I see is remembering specifically what to do and where to find it in the course since taking specific notes tends to be really time consuming. I've tried to take screenshots and update a running Google doc, but I usually quickly defer to a search engine or Youtube.
